Yesterday afternoon I photographed Dustin and Kelly’s engagement session. We were so thankful it was a gorgeous and pretty warm day for October 31 and had a fabulous time in the river valley. Here’s one of my favorites of them with all the gorgeous red berries. More to come in time! Happy November 1st everyone!

Tonight was so much fun. You’ve already seen photos of Linnea’s best friend Leland … so he’s not a stranger to the blog. Here they are together trick or treating with us parents as we walked around the neighborhood earlier on this evening before they got too cranky and hungry. We had a lot of fun visiting with the neighbors and introducing the chicken and pumpkin. Here are some photos from tonight and I am also posting one of Linnea taken this week in an outfit I just love (before she pulled the pom-poms off the shrug).

Here’s the most adorable little boy ever! He makes a very cute Jack-O-Lantern.
Linnea is doing the chicken dance in our alley entertaining us all. She was more interested in dancing and picking rocks and pine cones off the ground than getting candy. I shouldn’t complain!
Brandy and I walking our kids up to the first house for treats…I should note although the kids technically were around last Halloween they didn’t do any trick or treating so this was their first time out and we were relieved it was a beautiful evening and not too cold out.

Over Thanksgiving weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Janssen family in their home. Parents, grandparents and Uncle were all included and it was really nice to see them all again. Little Kaylee is growing up so fast and isn’t very little any more and I got to meet baby Cole for the first time. Here are some of my favorites of Kaylee and Cole to share. Now I’m back to editing weddings and will blog all the other sessions as soon as I can!

This past week we were in BC for a family funeral and wedding. Here are a couple shots I got of Linnea I like and some of the gorgeous fall colours that are around Abbotsford. I’ll post more from the week soon.
Linnea’s best friend Leland came over for a visit this evening and they hadn’t seen each other in about a week. Tonight they enjoyed sharing their first kiss and it just wasn’t left at one kiss…they kissed about FOUR times tonight. We’re going to have to lock Linnea in her room if she keeps this up.

I’ve been so busy working on weddings my portrait sessions haven’t been blogged so I wanted to give you all a sneak peek for what is to come!
The above is the beautiful 3 year old Aurora! Here she is in her back yard in August. She is the daughter of a friend of mine.
Above is the lovely Loh family. I just adored their kids! Here is one of my favorite shots from their session. Billy (dad) shoots one or two weddings with me a year. He’s a great photographer and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him and now his family.
I had the pleasure of photographing the Berg family last week close to their home on the west end. They are the recipients of a gift certificate they purchased to raise money for a non-profit organization I’m supporting. You guys are a lovely family and it was wonderful to meet you. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the images from your session.
Saturday I drove out to Fort Saskatchewan to take Melony and Paul’s Engagement photos. I think this was only my second time out there. It was a frustrating drive with all the construction on the way, but once I got there, there were so many cool places to take photos right by their place. The building above is sometimes used for fire fighter training. I look forward to photographing your wedding next July M & P and it was great to see you again and meet your cats!
Amber and Michael are getting married this coming February and I can hardly wait to shoot their winter wedding! We took their engagement photos in the river valley and it was such a fun time visiting and walking around taking their photos. They’re truly a beautiful couple in love.
After Melony and Paul’s engagement session I headed back into the city to photograph 4 week old Bella. She’s an adorable baby girl! I even got cuddles and she started to fall asleep in my arms before I left. This was definitely making me want to have another baby I gotta tell you. I photographed Reid and Jessica’s engagement session last year so it was lovely to see them again and meet their daughter. Sigh. I love newborns. Congrats Reid and Jessica on your sweet arrival!
All I have to say is WOW! We had the honour and pleasure to spend an amazing day with an amazing couple! I had such fun with the whole crew and these guys were up for absolutely anything I suggested including a Wendy’s stop for food and sitting on a rather gross chair in an alley. Congratulations Danette and Sabu! Hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in the sun.

Kristy and Trevor are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed witnessing their written vows and ceremony on Kristy’s parents property out in Sturgeon County. They had an early evening ceremony followed by a short portrait session and reception. We took photos in the field on the property and both Kristy and I tripped but I ended up spraining my ankle. 
I also sat with my old junior high social studies teacher, volleyball & basketball coach. It was so fun to catch up with Ms. Kennedy! Kristy and Trevor had the most elegantly decorated tent and I thoroughly enjoyed all the details that went into this big day. Congratulations K & T and I hope you’re having a fabulous honeymoon in Jamaica!! Enjoy my favorites from your wedding.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the day as Kristy is coming down the rocks to meet Trevor for the first time during the processional. Their smiles are huge with the sun in the background casting a warm glow.
My cousin Jenn knitted this adorable brown and orange hat for Linnea last year and it still fits her in time for fall. She’s not one for wearing hats but she kept it on for some time while I took photos of her the other day. The light coming in from both windows was gorgeous and I shot these images with only available light and my 50mm f1.4 lens. I love this lens! Here’s my favorite little girl and her adorable hat:
This is the second wedding on my double header wedding date of July 25th. Here are my favorites from details to fun candids on their gorgeous wedding day. I seriously am in love with Jill’s hair piece and really enjoyed giving her images a more vintage look and feel. Thanks for an amazing day despite the scorching sun and heat we experienced! Congratulations to you both and I look forward to seeing you soon when you’re in Edmonton again.
